Currently Coveting | Saturday Six

It's been a whirlwind few weeks with our Chicago trip, many photo shoots and launching a new collection very soon! I'm excited to share with you this week's Currently Coveting, which last time- had the lady boss theme, and this time.. well.. let's see if you can figure out this weeks theme is! :)

One thing any entrepreneur or business owner will know, is how difficult self care is. At times, nearly impossible. If you're pursuing your dream right now, you know what I'm talking about! In the past 6 years I can count the weekends off with my hand and although I wouldn't do ANYTHING else in the world, over time this lifestyle does wear on a person! There is always more to be done and when you're the boss, it's up to you to do it. When 2015 hit, I promised myself I'd begin to make time for me again. This means, writing it on the calendar and not feeling bad about it even when there's still work to be done. I've found it has helped me feel more relaxed, balanced and grounded- which has helped my creativity.

{ SATURDAY SIX }

HydraFacial // from Lougheed Laser      {photo: Iulia Agnew}

Recently I did something I've never done... I went for a HydraFacial. I am pretty low maintenance so I didn't imagine loving it as much as I did, but honestly it was AMAZING! It meant I had to lay there for 30 minutes not emailing or texting (bahaha!) and get pampered. The staff at Lougheed Laser were so sweet and kind, they went above and beyond to make me comfortable and afterwards my skin was glowing. I recommend the HydraFacial for anyone who needs a little "me" time or even as a treat for your mom for Mothers Day!

My Heart Will Trust // Print by Victoria Senges

Victoria is a talented, local graphic designer who has just launched her own business with an adorable shop. Not only are her products lovely but she is giving partial proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society which is such an important cause. I love that she's combined philanthropy with design so beautifully.

Bohemian Body Butter // by Harlow Skin Co

I've had my eye on this lovely company from Vancouver BC on IG for a while and this is on my list of things to try!

Talula Arlington Pant // by Aritzia

Nothing says comfort like sweats after a long day (or at the beginning of one!) These ones are fitted enough that you could probably sneak out of the house in them ;)

Body Butter // by Korres

My best friend Renee got me this for Christmas and I love it! It's super rich and smells divine.

Nail polish // by Essie  // rings KV Bijou

Sometimes a little fresh coat of nail polish will lift the spirits! One of the best ways for me to find peace is to head to the Ocean. Sometimes I'll grab my favourite nail polish (and rings) and paint my nails while soaking up a beautiful view. The trick is you have to sit still while they dry so it forces you to take a break.

How do you practice self care? What do you write on your personal calendar to make sure you don't miss? What's the best advice on balance you've ever heard? I'd love to know!  Thanks for stopping by
