Whistler Spotlight | Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel

Every year, Terry and I make our "bucket list" of trips/hikes/goals for the summer months. Usually we are pretty good at checking things off our list, but for nearly 2 years we've had Joffre Lakes on our list to hike! As the very last week of August rolled around we decided to finally make it happen!

Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is in Pemberton (roughly one hour from Whistler), so it was the perfect excuse to crash in Whistler for the night following our day of hiking.

I'll share a full post on our Joffre trip... but for now I want to share our 24 hr Whistler getaway. We love heading up to Whistler, it's one of our favourite places to recharge. If you've never been- GO! There is no shortage of beauty and the mountain air is good for the soul.

We've stayed at a variety of places and this time wanted to try something different.  We checked into Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel and we loved finding out they are extremely dog friendly. Hurley was going to be joining us on our hike so it was important he was welcome at the hotel we chose!

Summit Lodge is conveniently located right in the village (hello sore legs after hiking) so it was easy to get around without too much trouble. It was the perfect place to get cleaned up after a day of hiking and hit the village for dinner.

they leave little care packages for their canine guests!

We took full advantage of the adorable Fuji Max cameras and iPads they leave for their guests to use

Hurley instantly fell in love with his new tiny frog friend

I fell in LOVE with these Malin & Goetz goodies

[ My Fave Whistler Must-Do's: ]

Treat: the day following our hike, we booked a couples massage from the Taman Spa. I highly recommend this! Not only was it one of the best massages of my life but it was amazing on sore and tired muscles after hiking.

Food: El Furniture Warehouse - all the meals are $5. Yup. Everything. So order 2 dishes if you'd like! It's SO good. It's usually pretty packed so prepare to wait.. and if you are looking for a good drink try the "Sweet Montreal" my fave.

Stay: Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel- we are already planning our next trip up this winter!

Shopping: grab a warm drink and hit the village which includes Aritzia, Lululemon etc

Pack: Bring a warm jacket it's always colder than the valley and pack some good shoes to walk in for exploring.

Thanks for stopping by!
